Does the Laurier Bookstore sell computers or computer packages?
The Laurier Bookstore is an Apple Authorized Campus Reseller and sells both PC and Apple computers at educational pricing. Not only do we offer standard desktop and laptop packages, we also offer custom built desktop computers and special orders for most major laptop brands. Most of our standard packages can be ordered online, but for custom built computers or special orders, please visit us at the TechShop. Can I get my computer repaired at the Laurier Bookstore?
We do offer PC computer repair services. Our technicians are fully able to find solutions to your computer hardware and software problems. All you have to do is bring your computer in and drop it off at the TechShop located in the back centre of the Laurier Bookstore. The labor cost per hour is $30.
I’ve heard that there is special pricing for students on computer software, is this true?
The Laurier Bookstore does sell educationally priced software. This means that students, staff, and faculty of the university do receive a reduced rate on the software that is sold at the Bookstore.
Does the Laurier Bookstore sell Mac compatible software?
The Bookstore does carry software for Mac computers. If we do not have the Mac software you are looking for, we can order it for you.
How do I setup internet with my roommate’s off-campus?
Here at the Laurier Bookstore we sell all of the products you may need to set up and share internet at your off-campus residence. We sell a variety of routers as well as a wide range of Ethernet cable lengths. All of these products can be found in our TechShop at the Bookstore.
Does the Laurier Bookstore sell Mac compatible software?
The Bookstore does carry some software for Mac computers. If we do not have the Mac software you are looking for, we can order it for you.
Can I order toner for my departmental printers?
The TechShop does stock most HP LaserJet toners which are the standard on campus. Please email toner@wlu.ca indicating what toner you need, your departmental account number and where you would like the toner delivered. The toner can be shipped to you via Distribution Services or you can ask to pick it up at the TechShop. Of course, if you are ever in urgent need just drop by and see us.
